Rabat – ONDA (The National Airports Office of Morocco) has unveiled a new visual identity for the country’s airports. This marks a significant milestone in the long-term “Airports 2030” strategic development plan.

The new branding, including redesigned airport signage, aims to reflect Morocco’s Vision 2030. It aligns with the country’s strong commitment to transforming its international airports into strategic hubs for economic growth, tourism, and global sporting events.

New Brand Identity

The announcement made on Monday included a video with the new logo and branding. The authority stated that the new 2030 logo is designed around Morocco’s heritage, yet symbolizes open arms towards the world, respecting the four cardinal points.

With clean lines, beautiful colors that reflect the Moroccan sky and earth, and modern typography, the new identity strengthens the organization’s vision for the future.

“The new identity strategy focuses on the passenger experience, rooted in thoughtful brand architecture that reflects both Morocco’s cultural heritage and global aspirations,” ONDA stated.

It is part of Morocco’s ambitious Airports 2030 strategy, which envisages the modernization and upgrading of Morocco’s airport infrastructure to the highest international standards. The move will establish airports in Morocco that are not only better connected but also poised for hosting major global events.

A Strategic Focus on Global Events

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2030 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. It revolves around three main cores: infrastructure development, customer experience re-engineering, and ONDA’s operational evolution to global expectations.

Largely, infrastructure projects are currently under implementation with expansive major works set down to continue at the main airport in Morocco. Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, which hosts more passenger traffic than any other airport in the nation, will have its capacity augmented from 14 million to 35 million by 2029. Morocco’s main airport will then be a true gateway linking Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas on an intercontinental scale.

Morocco’s Airport Expansion Plans

Other Moroccan international airports set for expansion include Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, and Fez, with refurbishments to double their capacity to meet rising air travel demands.

The renovations of major extensions demonstrate Morocco’s intention to become a significant aviation hub in the region and provide millions of passengers with a better travel experience.

The upgrades will bring the kingdom’s airports up to a comparable standard to the best in the world. With Moroccan symbols and meanings, it will support Morocco’s economic and Morocco’s tourism strategy.
